Family Life Ministries Biblical Counseling Center is a Biblical counseling ministry dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals and their families through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Family Life Ministries is an independent, tax exempt, 501 ( c ) (3) counseling center. The organizations primary purpose is to provide Counseling services to individuals in Franklin and surrounding Ohio counties. Family Life Ministries does not discriminate because of race, color, or creed. They provide services to Christians and Non-Christians alike.

Counseling is available for Children 6-12 years old, Adolescents 12-18 years old, Adults, and Older Adults. Approximately 1,000 counseling sessions/year are provided for individuals, couples, and families. Five Staff counselors including a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) provide counseling. A team of trained, volunteer, Lay Counselors is also available to assist clients when appropriate.

All counselors at FLM are trained to assist in areas such, as but not limited to, family structure, role identity, communications, life cycle issues, school failure, rebellious teens, unexpected crisis such as a death or unwanted pregnancy, extra marital affairs, divorce, illness, unemployment, short term situational depression.

Referrals for more long -term complex problems such as severe extended depression, rage, long term bouts of anxiety, suicidal thoughts, paranoia, and any situation potentially involving the need for medications, will be made to a licensed counselor in the community.

In addition to counseling services, material assistance in the form of food, and personal hygiene items are available from a free food pantry. Financial Counseling in the form of personal sessions and a 12 week financial principles class are also available. The counseling center is located at 5970 Godown Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235. Regular office hours are Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM, with evening and Saturday appointments scheduled at the counselors discretion.

We are a FAITH ministry, as we do not charge a set fee for our services, but are relying on the Lord to meet our needs. We recognize that not all people have the ability to pay a set fee, and we will not refuse someone the Lord sends to us because of their financial situation. Your payment, as you are able however, is appreciated because our counselors give freely of their time, effort , and prayers. When you contribute to the ministry, funds go directly these faithful servants.
